Help grow a vibrant and diverse living-working community in Schwerin

Because the Hof Medewege community on Lake Schwerin, consisting of a group of 25 adult members, inspires so many people, more space is needed. In the Hof Medewege community you can live or work in an agriculturally producing and processing Demeter farm. There is agriculture, livestock farming, gardening, fruit growing, but also beekeeping and mill bakery. A forest kindergarten was also opened. Living, learning and working in an ecological and communal sense belong together here. In the summer of 2024, a smaller building was prepared with the help of the Building Decree, which is now available to the community. Now everything is focused on the old country house, where part of the community will live in the future. In addition, the old bakery will soon serve as a communal space. So there is plenty to do!

Volunteer work

The volunteers on the construction job will concentrate their efforts on the old bakery. The roof of the house needs to be strengthened. In addition, old beams from the country house are being renovated and replaced.

You can also compensate your emissions via IBO, by donating to our partner’s tree planting project in Uganda. You can read more about that here.
