This year IBO-Nederland is exactly 65 years old and we want to celebrate! That is why we are organizing an anniversary day on September 10, 2022. Everyone who feels involved with IBO or who wants to get to know our organization is very welcome.
This day is intended to celebrate the anniversary, to meet each other and to work together for a good cause: the Winckelsteegh in Nijmegen. People with severe mental disabilities live on the Winckelsteegh site. They live, learn and work under the supervision of professionals, each according to their own abilities. And it should not surprise anyone: there is always something to do here!
All kinds of (odd) jobs
IBO wants to use its anniversary to deploy as many people as possible for all kinds of odd jobs on the large and wooded area, such as: maintenance of greenery, taking care of the gardens at the residential groups, clearing sheds, making movable/raised gardens, carrying out minor repairs or dig a hole for a trampoline. You can of course also opt for social activities at the residential groups, such as reading, walking, making music or giving someone a wonderful hand massage. The (supervisors of the) residential groups can indicate what is needed - so changes can still occur in the work.
Schedule of the day
We start the day with coffee and tea. We will then work in groups on various jobs - you can sign up for the job(s) of your choice on the spot. IBO provides lunch, after which we continue with our jobs - you can then do something new or finish your job. At the end of the afternoon we will have time for a drink and a chat.
