Give vulnerable children hope for a bright future in Kamuli

Project

Becky's Child Foundation was founded by Rebecca, a young Ugandan woman currently studying and living in the Netherlands. Her vision is rooted in compassion and driven by the desire to support vulnerable children and the elderly in Uganda with dignity, love, and sustainable support. The foundation provides a safe home for orphans and vulnerable children. In addition to daily care, the team organizes regular outreach missions in nearby communities, delivering essential goods such as clothing, food, and basic medical aid to those who need it most.

Work

Your Tailor-Made project program will be tailored to your length of stay and skills and may include the following:
• Participate in outreach trips in the community and provide basic necessities such as clothing and food
• Spend time with the children: reading, playing, teaching, or simply listening
• Provide educational or health-related support (if you have the appropriate skills)
• Share daily life with the community and bring joy and connection

Accommodation

Volunteers will be accommodated in a hotel/guesthouse near the project site. All basic amenities will be available. Meals can be provided entirely or partially at the project site, upon request.

Leisure

In the evenings and weekends you are free to explore the surrounding area and visit surrounding towns or explore nature.

Journey

The nearest airport is Entebbe, where you will be picked up by the project partner. You will fly to this project. Air travel is environmentally damaging. One thing you can do is offset your CO2 emissions through a recognized organization or through IBO. IBO collaborates with our partner organization in Uganda for their tree-planting project, allowing IBO volunteers to offset their emissions by contributing to this project. Read more here. For more general information about CO2 offsets, visit the Milieu Centraal website.
