Support an association in healthcare, socio-cultural projects and human rights in Fano

The association Oasi dell'Accoglienza ODV, founded in 1992 by Maria, has already existed for 32 years. The association was created as a charity to welcome children from all over the world with thalassemia who need a bone marrow transplant and intensive therapy. In addition to the various services related to hospitality and associated healthcare, the Oasi is actively involved in the fight against violence against women, participates in initiatives for the defense of human rights, promotes and supports national socio-cultural projects and has partnerships with various international organizations. The Oasi has always been a 'family of families' and is becoming more and more so: a small world where different languages, ethnicities, religions and cultures meet and where everyone lives together by offering mutual help and friendship. The motto is: “VIENI, VEDI, VIVI LA VITA” – “COME, SEE, LIVE LIFE”.

Volunteering work

The organization welcomes volunteers to arrange the outdoor areas, help out in the kitchen, clean common areas and entertain the people being cared for.

Accommodation

A large tent has been made available for the volunteers that they can share with other volunteers. There are also options to set up separate tents in consultation with the association. Meals are eaten together by volunteers and residents in the dining room of the house. Sanitary facilities are available in the building.

Leisure time

Fano is a Roman city that is especially culturally interesting and located on the Adriatic coast with its beautiful beaches. It is also a strategic point among the beautiful hills of the Marche region with many villages and towns that are among the most beautiful in Italy, such as Urbino, Gradara, Loreto and the Romagna coast with all its tourist attractions.
