Financial support
With your IBO-contactperson can be discussed about the possibility of financial support for the project. However, this possibility is limited to a contribution for meals and the costs of tools and materials. Also a contribution for other costs, such as transport and guidance, can be discussed.

If you apply for this support, a meaningful budget must be proposed. Furthermore we can ask you to provide a balance, and a profit and loss account of your organisation. At the end of the camps, there has to be a survey of how the money was spent concretely, with invoices/receipts.

You should realise that IBO itself is depending on donations, and has to work hard to receive this money. Amongst others, public opinion demands of organisations such as IBO, that they can prove anytime how, how much, where and why donations are spent. In order to be able to continue our work - and assist you - these administrative expectations must be met.

So, for a good co-operation it is expected that;

  • The volunteers can work effectively 7 - 8 hours a day, doing useful jobs;

  • A budget and an account are presented.

The national organisations finance themselves by different means, depending on national possibilities and traditions. Normally it is a mix of private donations, volunteers’ contributions and subsidies. IBO-Netherlands is a registered and recognised foundation: donations can be rebated for income-tax.
